The Lyles' Adventure: NYC+Dublin: Day 2

Continued ramblings from my travel journal:

Breakfast at Absolute Bagels. Whole wheat everything with veggie cream cheese. A must try,

Took a peek inside Saint John the Divine and outside in the garden areas which are some of the most serene places in NYC, in my opinion.

We found a Banksy (outside of Zabar's) on our walk to the museum!

American Museum of Natural History  + The Hayden Planetarium. Even though we were surrounded by a billion children, the show and the museum were so cool for adults and kids alike.

Lunch at the Hummus Place. Slow service, but pretty tasty- especially the grape leaves in mint sauce.

Levain Bakery round #2 for a chocolate/peanut butter cookie and a chocolate chip walnut cookie. Both were warm, gooey and amazing but the double chocolate one still takes #1.

Walk around Central Park West (Strawberry Fields, Sheep's Meadow)+a quick walk by John Lennon's old apartment building, Dakota Building. Rumor has it that Yoko Ono still resides there.

Headed to JFK by way of 3 trains (subway, LIRR, AirTran). Whew, what a journey.

After an airport dinner at Pizzo and Vino (which was surprisingly good), we were IRELAND BOUND!

The flight was long, but all of the goodies, snacks, and movies that were provided along the way made it rather enjoyable.

Not much sleep at all.

To be continued...
